UC Irvine Anteaters Betting Preview

The Anteaters are on a great run so far this year, staying undefeated. UC Irvine has dispatched Chapman, LMU, Northern Iowa, Pepperdine, Weber State, Kennesaw State, Kent State, Towson, and CSU Bakersfield in their first nine games.

I’ll probably take a stab at UC Irvine. This should be a pretty good matchup regardless, though. The Anteaters have been off the court for a while (December 5) so it’ll be interesting to see how they play early on in this one. UC Irvine looked pretty good in their win over CSU Bakersfield despite a tepid 41.5 percent shooting and a 39-33 rebounding deficit. The Anteaters have held opponents below 67 points in four straight games now—but they’ve scored more than 67 points themselves just twice during that quartet.

As for Oregon State, they didn’t have a ton of trouble versus a struggling Idaho State team last weekend. The Beavers have hit 70 or more points in seven of eight outings so far this season, so they’ll be looking to run right from the start. I like the Anteaters to dictate the pace and eke out a cover/win, though. It’ll be a fun one to watch.
