Le Moyne Dolphins Betting Preview
The Dolphins have been quite busy so far this year, with eight games already in the can. Le Moyne only has two wins over SUNY Poly and TN-Martin however, falling otherwise to Syracuse, CSU Northridge, UConn, St. Bonaventure, Texas A&M-CC, and UTRGV.
Matched up against the Vaqueros on Monday, the Dolphins went into the second half trailing by 10 points. Le Moyne took a 56-46 deficit the rest of the way in a blowout loss of 97-77. Both Dwayne Koroma and Robby Carmody posted a team-high 14 points each.
Manhattan Jaspers Betting Preview
Over on the Manhattan side, they’ve played six games so far. The Jaspers are 3-3 in those half-dozen outings, with wins over Fordham, Mercy, and Army. The losses otherwise have been to Maryland, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Virginia.
In Tuesday’s game versus Virginia, the Jaspers were down by seven points at halftime. Manhattan didn’t get any closer in an eventual 74-65 loss. Topping the team was Wesley Robinson with 12 points and five rebounds.
Why the Manhattan Jaspers will win
- Le Moyne has lost each of its last seven night games against non-conference opponents.
- Manhattan has won each of its last four night games at Draddy Gymnasium against non-AP-ranked opponents.
- Le Moyne has lost the first half in each of its last four road games.
Why the Le Moyne Dolphins will win
- Manhattan has lost eight of its last 10 games against non-conference opponents.
Le Moyne vs Manhattan Prediction
I’ll likely lean toward Manhattan. The Jaspers didn’t match up all that well versus Virginia in their last outing, but did manage a decent 43.4 percent shooting from the field and a 31-28 rebounding edge (10-7 offensive). The 14 turnovers and 53.7 percent shooting allowed on the other side really helped bury Manhattan in that one, though. Still, the Jaspers have managed 78 or more points in four of their six games so far; they’re scoring quite well overall.
As for Le Moyne, they’ve got a couple of nice wins against comparable teams and really gave Syracuse a run for their money in the opener (an 86-82 loss) but it’s been all blowout losses otherwise. The Dolphins have been below 66 points in four of the last five games, so it’s tough to trust them on a cover here.
