Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview
The Buffaloes got off to a nice start this year, notching wins in each of their first four games. Colorado took out Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado, CSU Fullerton, and Harvard during that time, but then fell to Michigan State 72-56 in game five on Monday.
Matched up against UConn in the Tuesday game, the Buffaloes pulled off a shocking upset. After falling behind 40-32 by the break, Colorado stormed back on a 41-32 run for a 73-72 victory. Tops in scoring were Julian Hammond and Elijah Malone, each with 16 points. Andrej Jakimovski doubled up on 12 points with 10 rebounds as well.
Iowa State Cyclones Betting Preview
Over on the Iowa State side, they’ve got five games in the can so far, with only one close loss as a blemish. That defeat came courtesy of Auburn 83-81 on Monday. Otherwise, it’s been wins over MS Valley State, Kansas City, IUPUI, and Dayton.
On Tuesday versus the Flyers, the Cyclones went into the second half with a 41-37 deficit. Iowa State hit their stride on a 52-43 run from there and took the win 89-84. Keshon Gilbert led the team with 24 points, three rebounds, and three assists in the victory.

Colorado vs Iowa State Prediction
I’ll probably lean toward the Buffaloes here. This should be a really fun matchup to watch regardless, though. Colorado started a bit slowly in the UConn game on Tuesday but had a stellar second half on the way to the epic win. The Buffaloes ended up shooting 51.1 percent from the field and 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from 3-point range along with a 34-28 rebounding edge (12-8 offensive) in a great all-around game. It was a dramatic turnaround after shooting just 37 percent from the field with a 42-29 rebounding deficit versus Michigan State. The only question is: which Colorado team will we get in Wednesday’s game?
As for Iowa State, they gave up a whopping 59.2 percent from the field against Dayton on Tuesday but also shot pretty well overall (51.7 percent). The Cyclones’ real saving grace was the 25-of-29 (86.2 percent) from the line—not to mention only six turnovers. Iowa State shouldn’t have too many issues putting up points here; the Cyclones have hit 81 or more in every game so far. I like a high total against Colorado in an entertaining game.
