The Huskies kicked off their season with a solid win over Boston U 80-72, then fell to Princeton in a tough one 79-76. Northeastern would bounce back with wins in the next two outings 78-56 over Harvard and 80-62 against Central Connecticut. On Friday versus FIU, Northeastern eked out a 60-58 win.
In the Saturday matchup against Florida Gulf Coast, the Huskies were in trouble with a 27-26 deficit at the break. Northeastern rallied in the second however, eventually winning 59-55. Rashad King led with 19 points, and Harold Woods doubled on 11 points and 11 boards.

Northeastern vs CSU Bakersfield Prediction
I’ll probably end up leaning toward Northeastern. Neither team played especially well in their respective Saturday outings though, so you could call this one either way. The Huskies put up their second consecutive sub-61-point outing during Saturday’s game versus FGCU, but to their credit still won their fourth straight. Northeastern Shot a tepid 41.1 percent from the field and got out-rebounded 37-35 in the process, though.
As for CSU Bakersfield, they didn’t shoot too badly (42.9 percent) and drained 18 of their 20 free throws (90 percent) in their loss to FIU. The 14 turnovers didn’t help matters, though. The good news for the Roadrunners is that they’ve scored 73 or more points in five of six games so far this year. I like this one to be a pretty high-scoring finish as well, with Northeastern coming out on top cover-wise. It’s something of a coin flip, though.
