Idaho State Bengals Betting Preview
The Bengals stumbled out of the gate this year with a couple of tricky matchups, losing both of them. First was a 55-48 loss to Arizona State in the opener on November 5. Game two was another defeat, this time 75-69 versus USC.
Idaho State was able to get into the win column for the first time this year against Southern Oregon. The Bengals jumped out to a 47-29 halftime edge and cruised to an 87-63 blowout. Jake O’Neil’s 17 points and eight boards topped the team.
San Diego Toreros Betting Preview
Over on the Toreros’ side, they kicked off the season with a matchup versus Rider. San Diego fell in a tough result there, losing it 68-67. Game two versus Boston U ended up better, as the Toreros powered out the win 74-60.
On Tuesday versus Portland State, the Toreros fell back into the loss column. San Diego was drilled 51-33 in the first half and ended up falling 85-76 despite a 43-34 advantage from there. Keyon Kensie was the leading team scorer with 20 points and five rebounds.

- San Diego has won the first half in each of its last three-day games against non-conference opponents at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Idaho State vs San Diego State Prediction
I’ll lean toward San Diego. You could certainly make a case either way, though. The Toreros didn’t play great against Portland State in their last outing, shooting a tepid 41.7 percent from the field and a dismal 15.4 percent (2-of-13) from 3-point range. San Diego also committed a whopping 21 turnovers in a sloppy overall game (45 total turnovers). There’s plenty to work on here.
As for Idaho State, they didn’t have many issues with an overmatched Southern Oregon team in their last outing. That said, the Bengals weren’t able to crack 70 points in either of their first two outings. It’ll be a long day for Idaho State on Saturday if they don’t start out hot.
