Darrick Jones Jr. returns after averaging 8.5 points and 2.8 rebounds, while Ocypher Owens averaged 8.1 points and 1.4 assists. AJ Dancler averaged 2.2 rebounds per game and Trent Mosquera played in 376 minutes last season. Le Moyne lost its two double-digit scorers in Luke Sutherland and Kaiyem Cleary, but the bulk of the role players are back for another season. The Syracuse Orange won 20 games last season and enters the second year under coach Adrian Autry. It was the most wins since the 2018-19 season, but Syracuse has missed the NCAA Tournament in 4 of the last 5 years.
J.J. Starling returns after averaging 13.3 points and 1.9 assists, while Chris Bell averaged 12 points and 2.3 rebounds. Naheem McLeod averaged 4.3 rebounds per game and Kyle Cuffe Jr. played in 311 minutes last season. Syracuse lost its top player in Judah Mintz, but brings back two double-digit scorers. Jaquan Carlos comes over from Hofstra, and he averaged 10.4 points and 4.4 rebounds last season. Jyare Davis is a highly accomplished player from Delaware, and Eddie Lampkin Jr. is coming off a good year with Colorado. Syracuse is bringing in enough talent to be a potential problem in the ACC this season. Second year under the coaching staff as well, the Orange could surprise some folks.

There are no excuses for Syracuse this season, and it’s one of the teams I’ll be watching closely. Syracuse has potential to be one of the bigger surprises in the country. I’m rather high on Syracuse this season. Give me Syracuse and whatever the line is.
