A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for the Toledo vs Western Kentucky game.
Strong Start for Western Kentucky
It has been a strong start to the season for Western Kentucky and they were dominant in the first game. Western Kentucky scored 41 points and the Bearkats, and even though the defense did show some holes, it was still a comfortable victory. It was the offense in the second and third quarters that ended up being the difference in the win. Western Kentucky is known for their passing offense, and it’s no different this season. Maverick McIvor is under center, and he completed 33 of his 51 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns. He’s going to be a big problem this season.
Marvis Parrish was the top running back, and he finished with 12 carries for 52 yards. Matthew Henry was also a star, and he caught seven passes for 148 yards and a touchdown. In this game, I would like to see a little improvement from the defense.
Why Western Kentucky Will Beat Toledo

Toledo Put up a Fight
Toledo might be coming into this game 0-1. But they were competitive, and can take some real positives away from their game. Toledo scored 16 points against Kentucky, and the defense didn’t play awful giving up 24 points. Tucker Gleason was under center and he completed 23 of his 40 passes for 270 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He had 270 pasing yards but the running game could leave a little bit to be desired.
As a team, they only rushed for 59 yards. The defense was impressive against the run though, giving up only 85 yards. It’s going to be another test here for the defense, and the pass defense is going to need to be good. The only way they come out on top is if they slow down the pass in a big way.
