Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview
The Green Wave beat Northwestern, South Alabama and Duke in their first trio this year before losing in a blowout to Ole Miss. Tulane recovered with wins over Tulsa, East Carolina and Army, then lost to UTSA before another win over Memphis. In the 38-32 escape on the road versus the Tigers, Tulane scored 35 of their points in the first half. The Wave gained 457 total yards with 8.2 yards per play and 17 first downs but went a sketchy 4-of-11 on third-down conversion attempts. The 10 team penalties didn’t help matters much either.
The Wave took on Florida Atlantic last weekend. In that one Tulane held a 21-10 edge at the break and scored in every quarter along the way to a 35-24 home win. QB Jake Retzlaff had an 18-of-27 line for 241 yards, two scores and a pick. Tops in rushing was Jamauri McClure with 10 totes for 94 yards and a score (Retzlaff also rushed in a TD), while top receiver Bryce Bohanon had three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown of his own in the win.
Temple Owls Betting Preview
Over on the Temple side, they beat UMass and Howard before losses to Oklahoma and Georgia Tech in their first four. The Owls went 3-2 in their next five, beating UTSA, Charlotte and Tulsa among losses to Navy and East Carolina. In the 45-14 blowout versus the Pirates, Temple gave up 14 points in each of the first three quarters. Temple surrendered 614 total yards with 358 rush yards, 8.2 yards per play and 26 first downs—but did have a couple of takeaways. The offense managed just 233 yards on the other side and went 3-of-12 on third downs alongside just 11 first downs and 4.2 yards per play.
Matched up against Army back on November 8 in their latest appearance, Temple held a 10-7 lead at the break. The Owls could only muster a field goal from there however, and lost 14-13 in a tough road outcome. Temple’s Evan Simon finished 15-of-25 for 157 yards and a TD while leading rusher Jay Ducker had just 46 yards on eight totes. Peter Clarke caught two balls for 51 yards in the losing effort, putting him atop the receivers for Temple.

Tulane vs Temple Prediction
I’ll stay with Tulane. The Wave handled FAU pretty well over the weekend despite giving up a whopping 375 pass yards and 32 first downs. The four takeaways (three picks) helped immensely, however. That gives Tulane five wins in their last six games and a combined 73 points in their last pair of outings.
As for Temple, they notched another rough loss versus Army in their latest appearance. The Owls had just 268 total yards with 5.8 yards per play, 16 first downs and a rough 2-of-8 success rate on third downs. Meanwhile the defense held Army to just 250 yards with 224 rush yards, 3.8 yards per play and 20 first downs. It wasn’t the prettiest game in the world, that’s for sure. In any case, Temple has been below 15 points in consecutive games now following 27 or more points in four straight. The Owls have to figure out how to score again.
