LaNorris Sellers threw for 114 yards and only completed 10/23 passes, while Raheim Sanders rushed for 88 yards and one score. 

South Carolina looked to be in some sort of control of their first game in the third quarter, but they needed a late rally to pick up the win. The Gamecocks were lucky to force a few turnovers, as they were outgained and were lucky to come away with the win. 

Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview

The Kentucky Wildcats are 1-0 this season after they defeated Southern Miss by a score of 31-0 in their first game. Kentucky had to deal with a lengthy weather delay, but they led 24-0 at the half and 31-0 in the third quarter before the game was called due to bad weather. Kentucky outgained Southern Miss by a total of 317-131 and forced two turnovers in the win. The Wildcats went 3-5 on third down in the game. Brock Vandagriff threw for 169 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, while Demie Sumo-Karngbaye rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. 

Kentucky was able to dominate the portion of the game that was played and it served as a solid warmup for this matchup. The Wildcats played a pretty flawless game, but they did have one turnover and allowed 126 passing yards in about a half of football. 

South Carolina vs Kentucky Prediction 

South Carolina really struggled to put away Old Dominion in their first game and they nearly lost, but they were able to make enough plays for the win. On the other side, Kentucky was able to cruise to the weather-shortened victory and will have the home-field advantage. I really don’t like what I saw from South Carolina and while I am sure they will play better in this matchup, I need to see better quarterback play before I back the Gamecocks. Give me Kentucky to win this game by double digits.
