Kentucky Wildcats Betting Preview
This year the Wildcats opened on a 2-1 clip, falling versus Ole Miss by a touchdown in between wins over Toledo and Eastern Michigan. Kentucky would then hit a losing streak however, falling versus South Carolina, Georgia and Texas in the next trio. On October 18 in the 16-13 overtime defeat at home versus Texas, the Wildcats held the Longhorns to just 179 total yards, 3.3 yards per play, eight first downs and 5-of-16 on third-down tries. It wasn’t enough for the victory however, in a tough result to swallow on home turf.
In their last game Saturday versus Tennessee, Kentucky coughed up 21 points in the first quarter and 14 more points in each of the next two quarters along the way to a 56-34 defeat at home. QB Cutter Boley was 26-of-35 for 330 yards, five scores and a pick while also rushing for 31 yards. Dante Dowdell led the team on the ground with 52 yards and DJ Miller caught five balls for 120 yards and a pair of his own touchdowns along the way to the loss.
Auburn Tigers Betting Preview
Over on the Tigers’ side, they kicked off the 2025 season with a series of three wins over Baylor, Ball State and South Alabama. Auburn hit the skids after that during a tough stretch however, falling against Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia and Missouri in a series of close outcomes. In the 23-17 loss at home versus Missouri on October 18, Auburn held the opposition to 343 yards, 4.1 yards per play and 8-of-17 on third downs alongside a couple of interception takeaways.
Matched up against Arkansas last weekend, the Tigers were in trouble with a 24-18 deficit heading into the final quarter. Auburn posted 17 unanswered points in that last frame however, resulting in a 33-24 win on the road in the end. QB Jackson Arnold was 7-of-12 for 73 yards, one TD and one pick. Tops in rushing was Jeremiah Cobb with 28 carries for 153 yards and Eric Singleton had two catches for 56 yards in the victory effort on the road.

Kentucky vs Auburn Prediction
I’ll stay with Auburn but you could probably call this one either way. The Tigers played a wild game versus Arkansas last weekend, eventually powering out the big road win. Auburn made plenty of mistakes though, and didn’t do well on third downs (3-of-12). That said, the offense gathered 230 rushing yards and the defense had four takeaways alongside just 14 first downs allowed. It was Auburn’s highest points total (33) since hanging 42 on Ball State way back on September 6.
As for Kentucky, they couldn’t keep up with the Volunteers last weekend in the home loss. The Wildcats gave up 504 total yards with 8.5 yards per play and 25 first downs along the way. Offensively Kentucky had three turnovers and just 5-of-11 on third-down tries. It’s been a string of three tough ranked matchups for the Wildcats, however they should look better in this one. I like a competitive outing most of the way. Should be a good one, but I like Auburn a little more cover-wise.
