I’ll stay with the Chippewas I suppose. Central Michigan didn’t have a ton of trouble versus a decent Buffalo team in their last outing, thanks mostly to a strong defensive presence. The Chippewas managed 398 yards allowed with 19 first downs and 7-of-18 on third-down tries but also notched five takeaways (three fumble recoveries) in the win. The offense had a couple of picks and went just 2-of-10 on third downs themselves but also had 6.1 yards per play and 358 total yards in the end. Central Michigan has 21 or more points in seven straight games now, winning five of those outings.

As for Kent State, they powered out a weird OT win versus Akron in their last outing. The Flashes put up just 13 first downs and 57 rush yards in that one, giving up 33 first downs and 530 total yards on the other side. If Kent State can keep up that sort of offensive onslaught here we should have a pretty entertaining game overall. I like CMU to power it out in the end, though.
