Over on the Auburn side, they beat Alabama A&M and New Mexico during a 2-1 start. The Tigers then fell to Arkansas, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Missouri before a win over Kentucky. In their November 2 matchup, Auburn lost 17-7 versus Vanderbilt.
In their Saturday game with LA-Monroe, the Tigers notched a blowout win of their own. Auburn was up 24-0 by halftime and cruised to a 48-14 victory in the end. Payton Thorne had 286 yards and five touchdowns. Cam Coleman caught three of the scores among his eight grabs for 100 yards.

I’ll stay with Auburn, but you could certainly argue this one either way. The Tigers made short work of LA-Monroe on Saturday, posting 507 yards (203 rushing), 26 first downs, and a nice 12-of-17 on third-down tries. Auburn really needed a good showing after a 10-point home loss to Vanderbilt, and they got it. The question is, can the Tigers maintain their momentum?
As for Texas A&M, on Saturday they demolished New Mexico State with 565 yards (209 rushing), 7.3 yards per play, and 28 first downs. The Aggies have put up 34 or more points in four of the last five games, so Auburn is likely going to have to get moving quickly in order to maintain a cover/win pace here. It’ll be a good one to watch, with both teams coming off confidence-building blowout wins.
