I’ll stick with Georgia Southern. The Eagles are coming off a great comeback win versus a middling South Alabama team. GA Southern posted 337 yards (231 passing), 20 first downs, and 7-of-16 on third-down tries in that one. The defense came up with two takeaways and held the Jags to 5-of-12 on third downs. The 13 South Alabama penalties helped as well.
As for Troy, they had a much-needed strong showing versus Coastal Carolina in their last appearance. The Trojans did most of the work on the ground with 342 rush yards (511 total). Troy will probably need to balance things out a little better this weekend if they’re going to contend.
