Coastal Carolina vs Marshall Prediction
I’ll probably stay with Marshall. On Saturday the Herd had their way with a struggling Southern Miss team, giving up just 183 yards (70 passing), 3.2 yards per play, eight first downs, and 1-of-14 on third-down tries alongside four takeaways. As for the offense, they did fairly well with 526 total yards (267 rushing) but did have a couple of turnovers and a tepid 6-of-16 on third downs.
As for Coastal Carolina, I expect them to play pretty well here also. The Chanticleers ran the ball very well versus App State in their last appearance, notching 203 ground yards against 353 total. The defense came up with three takeaways also, which helped immensely. That said, if Marshall can slow down the rushing attack I don’t think the Chanticleers will cover this weekend.
Andrew’s Pick Marshall Thundering Herd -9.5
