South Florida Bulls Betting Preview
The Bulls won two of their first three games this year over Bethune-Cookman and Southern Miss. After losses to Miami, Tulane, and Memphis, South Florida got back into the win column versus UAB and Florida Atlantic in the next pair.
On Saturday versus Navy, the Bulls faced a 21-0 deficit by halftime and limped to a 28-7 loss. Bryce Archie threw for 282 yards, one score, and two picks. Kelley Joiner led an anemic rush with 23 yards, and JeyQuan Smith topped the receivers with 85 yards from two grabs.
Charlotte 49ers Betting Preview
Over on the Charlotte side, they lost three of their first four games to James Madison, North Carolina, and Indiana. The 49ers would beat Rice and East Carolina before three more losses to Navy, Memphis, and Tulane.
In their matchup with Tulane on Halloween, the 49ers gave up points in every quarter and couldn’t find the end zone in a 34-3 blowout loss. DeShawn Purdie threw for just 66 yards and a pick. Hahsaun Wilson carried six times for a team-high 68 rush yards.

USF vs Charlotte Prediction
I’ll lean toward USF. The Bulls were drilled by the Navy rushing attack over the weekend, giving up 321 yards on the ground, 18 first downs, and 7-of-17 on third downs. The offense had its own issues, including three turnovers. South Florida’s defense couldn’t get off the field to give them very many chances, though.
As for Charlotte, they’ve been off the field since Halloween and really need the extra prep time to recover from a dismal showing versus a good Tulane team. The 49ers posted just 189 yards (69 passing), 12 first downs, and an abysmal 1-of-9 rate on third downs in that one while holding the ball for just 17:51 of game time. I expect Charlotte to look better here but I don’t think they’ll cover as the Bulls bounce back from their own bad loss.
Andrew’s Pick South Florida Bulls -3.5
