Miami-Ohio RedHawks Betting Preview
Miami-OH lost their first three games this season to open things up on a losing skid. First came a 13-6 loss to Northwestern, then a 27-16 loss to Cincinnati. Game three was a 28-3 loss to Notre Dame, but the RedHawks would finally get a win 23-20 over UMass (OT) in game four.
In the Toledo game last weekend, the RedHawks ultimately couldn’t recover from a 20-6 halftime deficit and fell 30-20. QB Brett Gabbert logged 296 yards with two scores and a pick. Keyon Mozee led the rush with 40 yards, and Javon Tracy caught 10 balls for 119 yards and a TD.
Eastern Michigan Eagles Betting Preview
Over on the Eastern Michigan side, they beat UMass 28-14 in their opener before a 30-9 loss to Washington. The Eagles got rolling after that, however, beating Jacksonville State 37-34 (OT) and St. Francis PA 36-0 in the next pair.
The Eagles were able to keep it rolling back on September 28 versus Kent State. Eastern Michigan scored double-digit points in the final three quarters during a 52-33 victory. Cole Snyder threw for 213 yards (and ran for a TD), while Delbert Mimms rushed 23 times for 145 yards and two scores.

Miami-OH vs Eastern Michigan Prediction
I’ll lean toward Eastern Michigan. The Eagles were a mixed bag in their latest win over Kent State, gaining 486 total yards (273 rushing) and 30 first downs but going just 3-of-12 on third-down tries. EMU gave up 345 passing yards to Kent State and benefitted from 12 penalties on the other side. Eastern Michigan has scored 28 or more points in all four of their wins this year (nine in the lone loss).
As for Miami-OH, they posted 350 total yards (296 passing) and a solid 10-of-18 on third-down tries in their loss versus Toledo. The RedHawks gave up 25 first downs and 318 yards through the air, though. Miami-OH hasn’t eclipsed 23 points yet this year, so I’m not thrilled about their cover chances this weekend.
