Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Betting Preview
Western Kentucky kicked off their 2024 season with a matchup versus a tough Alabama team. The Hilltoppers were blown out in that one 63-0, however. WKU got in to the win column the next two weeks with victories over Eastern Kentucky 31-0 and Middle Tennessee 49-21.
In the Toledo matchup last weekend, Western Kentucky scored 21 points in the third quarter alone on the way to a 49-21 blowout win. Caden Veltkamp posted 398 pass yards with five TDs. Kisean Johnson caught two scores among his eight grabs for 129 yards.
Boston College Eagles Betting Preview
Over on the Boston College side, they posted a pair of wins in their first two games. The opener was a 28-13 victory versus Florida State, and game two was a 56-0 blowout over Duquesne. Game three was Boston College’s first loss, 27-21 versus Missouri.
Matched up against Michigan State over the weekend, the Eagles posted a 17-6 edge in the second half on the way to a 23-19 victory. QB Thomas Castellanos finished with 140 yards and a TD. Treshaun Ward led the rushing attack on 102 yards and a score from 14 totes.

Western Kentucky vs Boston College Prediction
I’ll stick with Western Kentucky. This should be a pretty fun matchup regardless, though. The Hilltoppers didn’t have too much trouble with Middle Tennessee in their last outing, despite giving up 456 passing yards and 21 first downs. The WKU offense was cooking with 631 total yards (481 passing), 30 first downs, zero turnovers and 7-of-10 on third-down tries.
As for Boston College, they beat Michigan State with opportunistic defense. The Eagles notched four turnovers in the victory, which helped supplement a tepid offense (292 total yards). Boston College should match up fairly well here but if WKU can keep their offense moving I like the Hilltoppers to cover.
