Why the Texas Longhorns will win
- Texas has won each of its last 16 games against non-AP-ranked teams.
- Mississippi State has failed to cover the spread in each of its last seven games in September.
- Texas has covered the spread in seven of its last eight games.
Mississippi State vs. Texas Prediction
I’m on the over here. I can see Texas winning in another blowout, but a spread like this is asking for a backdoor cover by Mississippi State, so I’d rather take the over. I think Texas can do a lot of the heavy lifting and I do think that Mississippi State can throw in a couple of junk scores as well so give me the over in this one.
