Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview
The Colorado Buffaloes are 3-1 (1-0) this year after they defeated Baylor by a score of 38-31 in overtime last week. Colorado trailed 31-24 late in the fourth quarter, but they were able to connect on a 43-yard pass as time expired to force overtime, where they got the win. The Buffaloes outgained Baylor by a total of 432-314, didn’t turn the ball over, and went 8-18 on third down in the game. Shedeur Sanders threw for 341 yards and two scores, while Travis Hunter caught seven passes for 130 yards.
Colorado also has wins against North Dakota State and Colorado State, but they did lose to Nebraska by a score of 28-10 in week two. The Colorado offense has scored 26.8 points per game with 335 passing yards and 68.8 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 26.8 points per game this season. The Buffaloes have gone 44.4% on third down and 2-7 on fourth down so far this season. Shedeur Sanders has completed 67.9% of his passes for 1,340 yards, 11 touchdowns, and two interceptions, while Travis Hunter has caught 37 passes for 472 yards and five scores.
UCF Knights Betting Preview
The UCF Knights are 3-0 (1-0) this season after they defeated TCU by a score of 35-34 in their last game. UCF trailed 31-13 in the third quarter, but they made a great comeback and scored with 36 seconds left in the game for the win. The Knights outgained TCU by a total of 519-460, didn’t turn the ball over, and went 11-16 on third down in the game. KJ Jefferson threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns, while RJ Harvey rushed for 180 yards and two scores.
UCF defeated New Hampshire by a score of 57-3 and Sam Houston by a score of 45-14 in their first two games of the season. The UCF offense has scored 45.7 points per game with 195 passing yards and 375.7 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 17 points per game this season. The Knights have gone 57.5% on third down and 2-5 on fourth down through three games. KJ Jefferson has completed 62.7% of his passes for 563 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception, while RJ Harvey has rushed for 448 yards and eight scores.
Colorado vs UCF Prediction
Colorado was able to pick up a near-miracle win last week against Baylor, but they are going to have their hands full with this UCF offense. The Knights have one of the best rushing attacks in the country and they will be facing a below-average Colorado defense here. I do think the Colorado offense will be able to move the ball in this matchup, as Sanders has an incredible ability to scramble and make plays, but I am not sure if the defense can get enough stops. I think UCF is going to run away with this game in the second half, so I will take the Knights to cover at home.
