UCLA is Awful

There is no other way to put it, this UCLA team is awful and this is a team that is going to struggle to win another game the rest of the season. UCLA faced off against Hawaii in the first game and it was ugly, but they were able to secure a 16-13 victory. In the last game against the Indiana Hoosiers though, the offense scored 13 points, but the defense gave up 42 points and that led to the defeat. At the end of the first quarter, they were down 14-0 and they couldn’t bounce back. Ethan Garbers completed 14 of his 23 passes for 137 yards, one interception, and zero touchdowns. Running back TJ Harden was the top rusher and also the top receiver. Harden finished with 12 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown. He also caught four passes for 41 yards. In this game, the offense needs to get out to a faster start because they aren’t going to win a 17-13 type of game. 

Can LSU Build on the Last Game?

Midway through the last game against South Carolina, LSU looked like they were in trouble, but they fought back in the second half scoring 20 points and that was enough to pull out a 36-33 victory. Garrett Nussmeier completed 24 of his 40 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Running back Caden Durham also finished with 11 carries for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Even though the offense was good, the defense still has some major room for improvement.  I am not sure I am sold on the offense of LSU so that means the defense is going to need to be better.

This total is too high. LSU’s defense is going to be better here. This UCLA team has really struggled to score all season and ti’s going to be much of the same here. I am still not sold on the LSU offense and the Tigers are going to struggle to move the ball here.
