Washington State vs Washington Prediction
I’ll go with Washington. The Huskies didn’t have too many issues versus Eastern Michigan—outside of eight penalties for 100 yards. Washington notched 501 total yards (316 passing) in the win, giving up just 204 yards and 17 first downs on the other side. That makes 65 points scored and 12 surrendered in a pair of relatively easy matchups so far this year.
As for Washington State, they got a nice boost from Mateer’s feet last weekend in the Texas Tech game. The result was 301 rushing yards (416 total), but the Cougars stumbled on third downs with a rough 3-of-13 success rate. Washington State gave up 491 yards (343 passing) and 10-of-19 on third downs defensively, so there should be plenty of opportunities for the Huskies offense here.
