Army has been a headache for opposing teams the last couple of seasons and Jeff Monken’s squad hopes the same will be the case this year. On defense, Army is expected to have a huge season, but they need the offense to find success and control the clock to get the job done. Kyle Lewis is the best defensive player and he’s back. It’s mostly a rotational defense, but Lewis is no doubt the star. Casey Larkin is the starting safety, and he’s going to need to have a strong year. Army will meet FAU and Rice after this game.

Lehigh last season finished with a 2-9 record overall and to finish the season they lost three games in a row. This is year two of the Kevin Cahill era, and they have 18 players starters back from last year's team. The best players for Lehigh are back on defense. Mike DeNucci and junior safety Nick Peltekia are both back and they are going to need to have years here. Lehigh wasn’t exactly great with the offense last season, but they were better in the passing game than the rush game.

The offensive line is better at pass blocking, and they are going to need to be elite here. In this game on the defensive side they are going to need the defense to be good against the run. Stopping the option is tough, but Lehigh knows to win this game they are going to need to find success.
