The Fordham Rams went 6-5 (2-4) last season and they finished fifth in the Patriot League standings. Fordham opened the season by winning five of their first seven games, which included a 40-37 win against Buffalo, which was their only game against an FBS opponent. Fordham finished the season by losing three of their last four games and they only managed 30 points in the final two games combined. In 2022, Fordham lost to Ohio by a score of 59-52 in their only FBS game.
Fordham has one of the best passing attacks in the FCS and they return their quarterback from last season. The Rams were very good at taking care of the football last season and that should be another strength this year. Defensively, Fordham was decent last year, but they did allow the 37 points against Buffalo.
Bowling Green Falcons Betting Preview
The Bowling Green Falcons went 7-6 (5-3) last year and they finished third in the MAC East standings. Bowling Green opened the season by losing four of their first five games against FBS opponents, but they did beat Georgia Tech by a score of 38-27. The Falcons were able to figure things out in the second half of their season, as they won five of their last six games, with the lone loss coming against Toledo by a score of 32-31. Bowling Green lost to Minnesota by a score of 30-24 in the Quick Lane Bowl to end the season.
Bowling Green does return Connor Bazelak and Camden Orth at quarterback, but Bazelak should be the main starter. Terion Stewart also returns as the leading rusher for the Falcons after running for 762 yards and eight scores in 2023. Most of the wide receiver production is gone and the offensive line needs to show some improvement.

I think Bowling Green will be one of the better teams in the MAC this season, but they could start slow here, especially on defense. I think Fordham will find success through the air, while also struggling to stop Bowling Green, so I am taking the over in this matchup.
