The Aces offense was sure impressive on Friday night against the Liberty. The Aces scored 95 points, but the most impressive part was the defense giving up only six points in the third quarter and that defensive effort was enough to come out on top. Jackie Young had a huge game putting up 24 points, six rebounds, and four rebounds. Kelsey Plum also couldn’t be stopped as she put up 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. 

There has never been an question about this Aces offense, the question is always about if they can make enough stops. The expectation should again be about the offense being good, the defense is just going to need to make some stops. 

Liberty Only Need One More Win

The Liberty only need one more win but there is pressure on them as they don’t want to have to return to New York in a winner take all game. On Friday they let the Aces go on a major run and they couldn’t seem to bounce out of the funk the entire third quarter. The Liberty had three players score at least 10 points, but the rest of the squad, especially the bench didn’t score enough. Breanna Stewart was the top player for the Liberty putting up 19 points, six rebounds, and one assist. In the first game off this series the Liberty’s defense gave up only 77 points and the defense is going to need to step up in a big way here. If the defense is a struggle in this game, it could be a very long game.

We have cashed with the overs in this series with all three games going over, and it’s going to be much of the same here. The Aces offense is going to have no issue running up the score, but their defense is going to be an issue again.
