Matchup History
The Las Vegas Aces swept the season series last year between these two teams, including an 84-71 win over the Sun in the most recent meeting back on September 15th, 2024. The Aces have won four straight, six of the last seven and eight of the last ten head-to-head meetings between these two teams.
Las Vegas Aces Recap
The Las Vegas Aces will be out to bounce back after a frustrating loss to start the year at the hands of the New York Liberty, falling 92-78 to drop to 0-1 on the year and leave Las Vegas waiting a little bit longer for their playoff revenge against the Liberty from last year. After this game, the Aces will head home for their home opener against the Washington Mystics.

Chelsea Gray added 12 points with 3 threes and 4 assists with a pair of steals and Dana Evans added 10 points on 4 of 7 shooting with a pair of triples and 3 assists to cap off the scoring in double figures in the losing effort for the Aces.

The Connecticut Sun come into this game hoping to right the ship after a season-opening 90-85 loss at the hands of the Washington Mystics to sit at 0-1 on the year. After this game, the Sun will head on the road for a date with the Minnesota Lynx.

Las Vegas Aces Vs. Connecticut Sun Prediction
I’m on the Aces here. I just think which of these two teams is more likely to right the ship after a rough start to the year for different reasons and without hesitation I think it’s Las Vegas. The Aces are a four-headed monster with Wilson, Young, Gray and Loyd (even though Jewell Loyd struggled in her Aces debut) and more often than not are just going to overpower their opponent. I think it was just a lack of chemistry in game one. The Sun are in a rebuild, and while they gave the Mystics everything they had in game one, I just think that the Sun fold a lot easier in this game. Give me the Aces laying the big number.
