The Atlanta Dream and the Indiana Fever meet Tuesday in WNBA action from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s an Atlanta Dream vs. Indiana Fever prediction.
Matchup History
The Indiana Fever won the most recent meeting between these two teams in OT last season by a final score of 104-100 back on September 8th, 2024. The win for the Fever swept the season series and gave Indiana five straight wins in this head-to-head matchup.
Atlanta Dream Recap
The Atlanta Dream will try to bounce back after starting the season with a 94-90 loss at the hands of the Washington Mystics last time out to start the year 0-1. After this game, the Dream will head back home for the second leg of a home-and-home against the Fever and the beginning of their homestand.
Gray Stars In Defeat
Allisha Gray led the Dream with 25 points on 7 of 14 shooting with 6 threes and a team-high 7 assists in addition to 8 rebounds while Brittney Griner added 18 points on 7 of 16 shooting with 8 boards as well. Brionna Jones chipped in 16 points on 6 of 13 shooting with a game-high 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the double-double while Rhyne Howard added 11 points with 3 threes and Nia Coffey chipped in 10 points with a pair of triples to cap off the scoring in double figures for the Dream in the losing effort.
Indiana Fever Recap
The Indiana Fever will be out to keep their momentum going after picking up a 93-58 rout victory over the Chicago Sky last time out to start the year right at 1-0. After this game, the Fever will play that second leg of the home-and-home in Atlanta before coming back home for a marquee matchup against the defending champion New York Liberty.
Clark Shows Out With Triple Double In Opener
Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 20 points on 6 of 13 shooting along with 4 threes in addition to 10 rebounds and a game-high 10 assists with 2 steals and 4 blocks to post the triple double while Aliyah Boston added 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting with a game-high 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Natasha Howard and Kelsey Mitchell each had 15 points on 6 of 12 shooting to cap off the scoring in double figures for Indiana in the winning effort while Mitchell added a pair of threes and Howard had 3 steals in the win. Lexie Hull chipped in 9 points on 4 of 10 shooting to match her 9 rebounds while DeWanna Bonner added 7 points with a pair of steals and Sydney Colson chipped in 3 steals as well.
Atlanta Dream vs. Indiana Fever Prediction
I’m on the over here. It’ll be interesting to see if the Fever’s defensive showing in game one was the product of Stephanie White being the new head coach for the Fever, or if it’s just about the Sky looking like one of the worst teams in the WNBA this season. That being said, the Dream were still a team that shot a fair number of threes last year and hit 12 in game one, but the Fever last year allowed teams to shoot 36% from three. The Fever also play at a really fast pace so I think we could get a fast-paced, high-scoring game here. Give me the over.
