Musetti is the No. 4 seed in Vienna, where he is making his fourth main draw appearance. Musetti achieved his best result in this tournament last season when he beat Alexander Zverev to make the semifinals. His campaign was eventually ended by Jack Draper. 

The Italian is returning to Vienna as a top 10 player, occupying the World No. 8 spot and with chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals, which is held in his home country. Tsitsipas has won 23 matches but lost 21 times. His highlight of 2025 was winning the ATP 500 in Dubai during the Middle East swing.

Tsitsipas has won just three ATP matches since the start of June and recently took part in the Saudi Arabian exhibition tournament called the Six Kings Slam, where he was comfortably beaten by eventual champion Jannik Sinner in straight sets in the quarterfinal stage. That was his first outing in precisely a month. Tsitsipas has featured four times in the Vienna Open main draw. He was a semifinalist on his last visit in 2023.
