Fifth seed Belinda Bencic will face sixth seed Linda Noskova in the final of the 2025 Tokyo Open on Sunday, October 26. Here’s our Belinda Bencic vs Linda Noskova prediction. This preview will also include a Belinda Bencic vs Linda Noskova pick.

Belinda Bencic vs Linda Noskova Preview

Belinda Bencic reached her second career final in Tokyo and first since 2015 when she won the tournament. Bencic defeated Sofia Kenin in three sets in the semifinals. The match took 30 games to decide and Bencic prevailed 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 in two hours and 15 minutes.

Bencic hit 10 aces and 3 double faults in the victory. She landed 67% of first serves in play and won 74% of first serve points (45/61). Bencic won 53% of second serve points (16/30) and saved five of seven break points.

This was a second straight match where Bencic needed three sets to win. She saved a match point in the quarterfinal win over Karolina Muchova after three hours. Bencic won her first WTA title as a mother earlier this year at the Abu Dhabi Open. She will be chasing her second title of the season on Sunday in Tokyo.

Facing Bencic will be a fresh Linda Noskova. Noskova earned a walkover after Elena Rybakina withdrew from the tournament just hours before the match due to injury. Rybakina, who had qualified for the WTA Finals after the quarterfinal, opted to rest and prepare for one final tournament in Riyadh next weekend.

For Noskova, this will be her first final in Tokyo, having only played one completed match this week, and that was in her three-set comeback victory against McCartney Kessler. She led by a set when Anna Kalinskaya retired from their match in the quarterfinal. Noskova has one title win in her career. She won the Monterrey Open last season. Noskova has lost two finals this season, the most recent one in Beijing being her biggest (lost to Amanda Anisimova).

Belinda Bencic vs Linda Noskova Head-To-Head

Bencic and Noskova will meet for the first time in the Tokyo final.

Belinda Bencic vs Linda Noskova Prediction

So the final WTA 500 tournament comes down to Bencic vs Noskova. Fitness-wise, Noskova has a massive edge here. The Czech has played one full match this week and she’s spent a fraction of the time Bencic accumulated in reaching the final. The Swiss played a three-hour match in the quarterfinals, where she saved a match point and then another two hours in beating Kenin in the semis. Noskova will have the fresher pair of legs and if Noskova can hold her nerve and not check out mentally, she can overpower Bencic. Give me Noskova in three sets.

Nur Said's Pick: Noskova in three sets
