Novak Djokovic and Miomir Kecmanovic meet in the third round of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. The match is scheduled for Saturday, July 5. Here’s our Novak Djokovic vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction. This preview will also include a Novak Djokovic vs Miomir Kecmanovic pick.

Novak Djokovic vs Miomir Kecmanovic Preview
Novak Djokovic recorded his 99th match win at Wimbledon after a masterful victory over Briton Dan Evans. He also evened their head-to-head, having lost to Evans at the 2021 Monte Carlo Masters. Djokovic delivered his most accomplished performance yet, demolishing Evans in an hour and 47 minutes. The Serbian dropped just five games in the match and won the final set 6-0. Djokovic hit 46 winners, which is a lot in a straight sets victory and a measure of his attacking prowess. He accumulated only 14 unforced errors.

Djokovic hit 11 aces and two double faults. He landed 78% of first serves in play and won 89% of first serve points (40/45). Djokovic won 69% of second serve points (9/13) and saved both break points he faced in the match. With the victory, Djokovic has eclipsed Roger Federer for the most third-round appearances at the All England Club with 19. He has a 99-12 record in this tournament and can notch a milestone 100th victory if he wins his third-round match.

Miomir Kecmanovic has emerged from this little section as Novak Djokovic’s third-round opponent, defying the pre-tournament projections. Kecmanovic defeated Jesper De Jong in four sets. The 25-year-old lost the first set 6-1 in just 29 minutes. But he played superbly after that, winning the next three sets. Kecmanovic leveled when he took the second set 6-3, breaking De Jong in the sixth game of the set.

The Dutchman suffered from a surprise dip in level in the third set as Kecmanovic raced to a 4-0 lead before closing it out for 6-2 on his fourth set point. In the fourth set, Kecmanovic earned the only break to lead 4-3 and won two more games to complete the turnaround. The win propels Kecmanovic into the third round of Wimbledon for the second consecutive year and for a third time in his career. But he faces one of the biggest challenges in tennis against 24-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic. Kecmanovic has reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam twice in his career, both at the Australian Open.

Novak Djokovic vs Miomir Kecmanovic Head-To-Head
Djokovic and Kecmanovic have met three times at tour level. Djokovic won all three meetings and lost just one set in the process. More importantly, he beat Kecmanovic in their lone meeting on grass at 2022 Wimbledon. That year, Djokovic went on to win his seventh title at the grass-court Major.

Novak Djokovic vs Miomir Kecmanovic Prediction
Despite mixed results this season, Novak Djokovic’s aura remains intact, and his record at Wimbledon is one of the best. One more win takes him to the century club at the All England Club, and I don’t see Kecmanovic pulling out all the stops to prevent that. Djokovic’s level this week has been impeccable, and I expect that to continue in another march to the second week.

Nur Said's Pick: Novak Djokovic in four sets
