The Line: Betting Odds: Jacob Fearnley / Jiri Lehecka (to be updated)
Jacob Fearnley and Jiri Lehecka meet in the quarterfinals of the 2025 HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club. The match is scheduled for Friday, June 20. Here’s our Jacob Fearnley vs Jiri Lehecka prediction. This preview will also include a Jacob Fearnley vs Jiri Lehecka pick.
Jacob Fearnley Preview
Jacob Fearnley has impressed in his debut appearance at Queen’s Club. The 23-year-old Briton, ranked 60th in the ATP rankings, started the tournament with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Australia’s Alex Bolt, bouncing back from a first-round loss to Brandon Nakashima in Stuttgart.
In the second round, Fearnley defeated France’s Corentin Moutet, who scored a sensational win over Taylor Fritz in the last round. Fearnley won 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 in two hours and 10 minutes. He compiled three aces and seven double faults. Fearnley won 67% of first serve points (37/55) and saved nine of 12 breakpoints in the match.
Fearnley won nine of 12 matches on grass last season and memorably won the Nottingham Challenger. This time, he’s got an opportunity to contend for the title at the ATP 500 event at Queen’s. Next up for him is Czech Jiri Lehecka.
Jiri Lehecka Preview
Jiri Lehecka is ranked 30th in the ATP rankings and played a grass-court tournament this past week in Stuttgart. He emerged with a couple of wins there, where he reached the quarterfinals and lost to Ben Shelton.
Lehecka has now made it back-to-back quarterfinals thanks to an excellent week at Queen’s. The Czech began the tournamnet with a stunning upset against former finalist Alex de Minaur. He lost just six games in the match.
In the second round, Lehecka took down Libema Open champion Gabriel Diallo in straight sets, winning by the same score as his opening round, 6-4, 6-2. He took just 65 minutes for the victory. Lehecka hit five aces and three double faults in the match. He won 96% of first serve points (26/27) and did not face a breakpoint.
Jacob Fearnley vs Jiri Lehecka Head-To-Head
Fearnley and Lehecka have never played before. This quarterfinal clash at Queen’s will be their first meeting on the ATP level.
Jacob Fearnley vs Jiri Lehecka Prediction
Lehecka is the favorite. He’s been in great form this swing, backing up a quarterfinal in Stuttgart with two complete performances this week at Queen’s. But I’m tipping the underdog Fearnley to come up trumps here. He’s been building his career brick by brick, and he’s now a Top 100 mainstay. He was a sensation on grass last summer, capturing that Nottingham Challenger. Look, breaking Lehecka’s serve will be a huge task for the Brit, but on grass, if he can stay in it for the long haul, he can create one or two decisive moments.
