The Line: Betting Odds: Alexander Bublik / Arthur Cazaux (to be updated)
Alexander Bublik and Arthur Cazaux meet in the final of the 2025 Generali Open in Kitzbuhel. The match is scheduled for Saturday, July 26. Here’s our Alexander Bublik vs Arthur Cazaux prediction. This preview will also include a Alexander Bublik vs Arthur Cazaux pick.
Alexander Bublik vs Arthur Cazaux Preview
Alexander Bublik reached his second successive ATP final on clay this month after producing yet another stellar performance on the surface. The Kazakhstani downed Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets in the second semifinal on Friday at the Generali Open in Kitzbuhel. In a tight first set, Bublik got the only break in the sixth game, and held to love in each of his next two service games to win the set 6-3.
The Dutchman responded by breaking Bublik’s serve for the first time early on in the second set, and raced to a 4-1 lead. But Bublik won five straight games to shock van de Zandschulp and complete an incredible turnaround. Bublik hit 16 winners to 13 unforced errors. He accounted for nine aces and six double faults. Bublik landed 65% of first serves in play and won 81% of first serve points (30/37). He won half of his second serve points and saved one of two break points in the match.
Bublik has not dropped a set in the tournament and had earlier beaten Agustin Tirante and Alexander Shevchenko. This was his seventh successive win on clay, having won the Gstaad 250 this past week. He can emulate Matteo Berrettini, who won the two ATP 250s on clay post-Wimbledon in back-to-back weeks last season.Â
Meeting Bublik in the Kitzbuhel final will be France’s Arthur Cazaux. This will be his first tour-level final. Cazaux won the all-French clash against Arthur Rinderknech in the first semifinal of the day in straight sets. The match was briefly interrupted by rain, but Cazaux would not be stopped from recording a 7-5, 6-3, and making up for last week’s semifinal defeat to Bublik in Gstaad.
Cazaux won 85% of first serve points (33/39) and did not face a break point for the second match in a row. He has accounted for wins over Ignacio Buse, Francisco Comesana, and Jan Lennard Struff. Cazaux has lost only one set this week, and that came in the opening round win over Peruvian Buse. He improves to 17-13 for the season, having missed at least a couple of months due to injury in the first half of the year. Cazaux will return to the Top 80 regardless of the outcome of Saturday’s final.
Alexander Bublik vs Arthur Cazaux Head-To-Head
Bublik owns a 2-0 record against Cazaux. He won their first meeting at 2024 Wimbledon in straight sets. Last week, they met in the Gstaad semifinals, and Bublik won 6-1, 7-5.
Alexander Bublik vs Arthur Cazaux Prediction
Bublik has already been written off a few times during the week, with the prevailing assumption that he would be fatigued after his title win in Gstaad. The Kazakh was more than happy to prove people wrong. He’s found some serious traction on a surface that hardly maximizes his key strengths. He’s flipped the script and showed us why he remains one of the sport’s most talented shotmakers, and with a high tennis IQ. I have to take Bublik here. He’s been the hottest player on tour post-Wimbledon, and there are no signs he’ll stumble at the final hurdle.
