As impressive as the goaltending was, expecting him to face 45 shots again, is only going to spell bad news for Anaheim in this game.

Even though the Ducks have won three games in a row, the offense still didn’t break out, and it’s clear that to win games, they will need good defense. Radko Gudas is dealing with an illness and is questionable for this game. John Gibson could get the start in goal, and he sits with a 9-9-2 record while giving up 2.7 goals per game. Gibson has probably been better than his record says; he just has been a victim of the offense, continuing not to give him any goal support. There was a three-game stretch for Gibson in January where the Ducks scored zero goals for him.

Charlie McVoy is dealing with an upper-body injury and is out. Jeremy Swayman could get the start in goal for the Bruins, and he has had three shutouts so far. The Bruins have gone 3-3 in the last six games Swayman has played in.

What do we know about this Ducks team? We know they aren’t going to score many goals. Even in the last three wins, the offense scored six goals total. The Bruins offense overall averages only 2.76 goals, and the Ducks’ hot goaltending will continue. The under is 6-1 in the Ducks last seven games against a team with a winning home record.
