Stetson Bennett IV threw for 181 yards, while Ty Simpson threw for 73 yards. Jarquez Hunter rushed 12 times for 68 yards and one score, while CJ Daniels caught eight passes for 68 yards in the game. 

The Rams started the preseason with a 20-12 win over Kansas City in their first game. LA was tied at six at halftime and they scored 14 points in the fourth to get the win. Ty Simpson threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns, while Stetson Bennett IV threw for 38 yards. Jordan Waters rushed five times for 37 yards and Brennan Presley caught four passes for 58 yards. LA will start Ty Simpson at quarterback, while Matthew Caldwell will play deeper in the game. Stetson Bennett IV may also play, but I have seen some reports saying he will sit out.

The Los Angeles Chargers are 1-1 this preseason after they lost to the 49ers by a score of 41-17 last week. Los Angeles trailed 20-3 at halftime and they allowed 21 more points in the second half in the lopsided loss. The Chargers were out gained by a total of 321-229, went 2-14 on third downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 2-1 in the game. DJ Uiagalelei threw for 80 yards and one touchdown, while Trey Lance threw for 73 yards. Trey Lance had two carries for 42 yards, while Jerand Bradley caught one pass for 28 yards and one score in the loss. 

The Chargers defeated the Texans by a score of 27-7 in their first game of the preseason. Los Angeles led 10-7 at halftime and won the second half 17-0 in the easy win. Trey Lance threw for 164 yards and one interception, while DJ Uiagalelei threw for 120 yards and one touchdown. Lance rushed three times for 27 yards, while Amar Johnson had two receptions for 68 yards in the win. In this game, Los Angeles will start Justin Herbert at quarterback, then they will go with Trey Lance and DJ U for the rest of the game. 

Rams vs Chargers Prediction 

The Rams come into this matchup looking to finish the preseason with a perfect 3-0 record and they have outscored their first two opponents by a total of 54-12. The Rams have had very solid quarterback play from Bennett and Simpson, but Caldwell will get his chance here. The Chargers will try to bounce back from a bad effort last week and they will start Herbert and the starters here.
