Those who have followed me over the years know my handicapping in preseason is all about the quarterback position. The rest of the positions are toss-ups, and you have no idea who is going to play nd for how long. The one constant thing is decent quarterback play and the guys who can put points on the board.
I’m looking at the over. We have experienced quarterbacks who can put together drives against defenders that won’t be on the roster in a week. Whether it’s Flacco or Johnson for the Bengals, they can move the ball. Johnson is fresh off a hell of a performance, and we’ve seen him ball in the XFL a few years ago as well. He’s a gamer who still plays hard at 40 years old. Dalton has seen everything a defense can throw at him, and McKee has a couple of touchdown passes this preseason. Soft total. I see points in this spot. Give me the over.
