Jets vs Patriots Prediction
I’ll go with the Pats. New England looked good against the Raiders last weekend, eventually bagging 29 first downs, 536 total yards and 6-of-12 on third-down tries. The Patriots defense gave up just 16 first downs with 5-of-13 on third-down conversions. After a tight loss to the Seahawks and a blowout loss to Jacksonville in the first three weeks, New England is starting to look like a playoff team again with these latest two wins.
As for the Jets, they pulled off a somewhat ugly win last weekend thanks mostly to defense and 134 rush yards. New York held the Browns to just 13 first downs, 198 total yards and 4-of-16 on third-down tries but managed just 14 first downs themselves. The Jets aren’t scoring well this year so far; they’ve been at 17 points or fewer in three of the last four games (a 1-3 run).
