Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview
The Chiefs went into their (very early) bye week this year with a very nice record (and a couple of close finishes). Kansas City took out the Denver Broncos in their opener, then beat the Indianapolis Colts in overtime for week two. The Chiefs would then take road wins over the Miami Dolphins and the Las Vegas Raiders for a perfect 4-0 start to the year.
In game five versus the Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs were up 9-3 by the end of the first quarter and 19-3 by halftime. Kansas City put it in cruise control the rest of the way and finished off the game with a 22-6 victory. QB Patrick Mahomes was 23-of-30 for 272 yards and a pick. Xavier Worthy led the receivers on seven catches for 73 yards in the victory effort.
Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
Over on the Seahawks’ side, they’ve only been able to muster a .500 record so far this year. Seattle kicked off the season on a nice run, winning three of their first four games versus the Patriots, Cardinals and Chargers alongside a lone loss to the Commanders. Since then it’s been consecutive losses versus the 49ers and Broncos for a 3-3 start to the year.
In last Thursday’s matchup versus Denver, the Seahawks were in trouble at the break with a 14-3 deficit. Seattle was able to come back with 11 points in the final quarter however, and forced overtime. In the end though, it was a 17-14 loss. QB Sam Darnold was 27-of-51 for 278 yards and two picks. Jaxon Smith Njigba caught 12 balls for 134 yards in the defeat.

Chiefs vs Seahawks Prediction
I’ll take a stab on the Seahawks but you could certainly argue this one either way. Seattle does need to bounce back from a rough OT loss to Denver, though. The Seahawks had three turnovers (two picks) and seven penalties for 75 yards in that one, but looking at the defensive stats you’d assume they won. Seattle gave up just 168 total yards and 13 first downs in the defeat. The Seahawks’ three losses this year have come by a combined eight points.
As for the Chiefs, they did a lot of movement on offense (22 first downs; 422 total yards) but also posted a tepid 3-of-10 on third downs and had a couple turnovers in their win over the Chargers. KC got a good defensive effort though, with two takeaways alongside 15 first downs and 259 total yards allowed. The Chiefs continue to roll along, and they’ve scored 30 or more points in three of their five games this year.
