One big issue for the Patriots has been the struggles of the offensive line and how much pressure Jacoby Brissett has been under. Against the Jets, he completed 12 of his 18 passes for 98 yards. The top running back was Antonio Gibson and he rushed five times for 29 yards. Rhamondre Stevenson finished with six carries for 23 yards. Demario Douglas was the top wide receiver catching seven passes for 69 yards. 

The Patriots on the season are averaging 13 points while their defense is giving up 19 points per game. The offense is ranked 31st in the league and if they want any chance they need to find a way to get the offense going. The defense is ranked 10th.  

49ers Can’t Lose This Game

The 49ers blew the last game and the last thing they can have is a 1-3 start with a loss to the Patriots. The 49ers were up 21-14 heading into the 4th quarter against the Los Angeles Rams in the last game and they looked to be in good shape. In the 4th quarter though they were outscored 13-3 and they ended up losing. Brock Purdy completed 22 of his 30 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns. Bad news for Christian McCaffrey as he’s going overseas to get scene, but Jordan Mason has filled in well for him and he rushed 19 times for 77 yards. The injuries are starting to take a toll on this team and George Kittle and Deebo Samuel both missed the last game with injury. 

The 49ers are averaging 24.3 points while their defense is giving up 23 points per game. The offense is ranked 9th in the league while the pitching is ranked 31st. The defense hasn’t been good enough for this team.

The 49ers blew the last game but all it’s going to take is a game against the Patriots to make this right. The Patriots' offense is a problem and the 49ers are going to spend a ton of time in the backfield here. Brock Purdy is going to have another strong game and the Patriots defense is going to have no answer. This game is going to get ugly early and it’s going to be a blowout for the 49ers.
