Texans Tested But Pull Out Win
The Texans have been tested in each of the first two games of the season but they were able to secure the win in each of the games. In the first game of the season against the Indianapolis Colts, they were able to secure a 29-27 victory and on Sunday night football they were able to beat the Bears 19-13. Against the Bears, they were up 16-10 at halftime but in the second half, they couldn’t pull away and ended up winning by only six.
The offense only scored three total points in the second half. CJ Stroud completed 23 of his 36 passes for 260 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. After such a strong first game of the season, Joe Mixon wasn’t as good. He finished with nine carries for 25 yards. In this game, the defense is going to need to put pressure on and really try to spend a ton of time in the backfield in this game.
Are the Vikings for Real?
The Vikings have won the first two games of the season and no one expected after two games they would be in first place in the NFC North. In the first game of the season, the Vikings were able to beat the New York Giants 28-6 and in the last game against the San Francisco 49ers, they were able to secure a 23-17 victory. Sam Darnold looks to be in the perfect situation and he completed 17 of his 26 passes for 268 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. One of those passes was a 97-yard dime to Justin Jefferson.
The defense has also been a problem all afternoon and on the season they have had 11 sacks. Out of the backfield Ty Chandler and Aaron Jones look like quite the 1-2 punch. Chandler in the last game finished with 10 runs for 82 yards.
Houston Texans vs Minnesota Vikings Prediction
The Vikings already beat one of the best teams in the NFL and it’s going to be much of the same in this game. Sam Darnold is going to have another big game here, and the Vikings' defense is going to step up here. The Vikings defensive line is going to spend a ton of time in the backfield again in this game and that is going to be the difference here as Minnesota is going to get the job done. Back the Vikings on the money line to cash.
