New York Jets Betting Preview
For what it’s worth, the Jets were able to muster an undefeated run in preseason play this year. New York beat the Commanders 20-17 in the opener, then the Panthers 15-12 in game two. The finale was another win, this time 10-6 over their in-city rival Giants 10-6.
In the Jets’ primetime opener Monday versus the 49ers, New York was down 16-7 by halftime and never really threatened a comeback in a 32-19 loss. Aaron Rodgers finished with 167 yards, one TD, and a pick. Allen Lazard caught six balls for 89 yards and two scores.
Tennessee Titans Betting Preview
Over on the Titans’ side, their preseason schedule was a great success as well. Tennessee beat the 49ers 17-13 to start things off, then took out the Seahawks 16-15. The exhibition finale versus the Saints was another close one, this time a 30-27 victory.
Tennessee saw the Bears in their Week 1 matchup. In that one, the Titans held a commanding 17-3 lead by halftime. Tennessee was outscored 21-0 from there, however, and lost a rough one 24-17. Will Levis threw for 127 yards, one TD, and two picks. Tony Pollard was the top rusher on 16 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown.

New York Jets vs Tennessee Titans Prediction
I’m leaning toward Tennessee. The Titans need to play a complete game here, though. Tennessee played a rough second half against the Bears in their opener loss, ending up with 244 total yards (104 passing), eight penalties, three turnovers, and a rough 3-of-14 rate on third-down tries. The defense held Chicago to just 148 total yards (64 passing), 11 first downs, and 2-of-13 on thirds, however. A Bears pick-six and TD on a blocked punt torpedoed their efforts.
As for the Jets, they looked outmatched from the first half and couldn’t stop San Francisco’s home push. New York’s defense allowed 401 total yards (221 passing), 25 first downs, and 6-of-13 on thirds. The offense was pretty tepid as well on two turnovers, 266 total yards (198 passing), and only 14 first downs. The Jets will probably post another relative road yawner here as well.
