The Washington Wizards won 15 games last season and haven’t made the playoffs since the 2020-21 season. The Wizards enter the first full season under coach Brian Keefe. There’s just not much to like in Washington these days. Kyle Kuzma has proven to be a consistent, underrated player, and the addition of Jonas Valanciunas puts an adult in the room. However, it feels like Jordan Poole is just there for the vibes, and it’s quite disappointing. Maybe youngsters Corey Kispert and Alex Sarr can provide hope, but this roster isn’t competing for anything.

You can work with that trio. The question is everybody around them, as there’s no real standouts and most of this roster was banged up last year. The Raptors need better injury luck if this season is going to be better than the last, as nearly the entire roster missed considerable time.

The Raptors haven’t missed the playoffs in three straight seasons since 2012-13. The Raptors haven’t gone back to back seasons with less than 30 wins since the 2011-12 season. The Canadians deserve better.
