The Utah Jazz invade the State Farm Arena to do battle with the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night.

The Utah Jazz have been mired in a terrible slump as they’ve lost 16 of their last 20 games overall, but they will be feeling a little better after they stopped a six-game losing streak with a 131-122 road win over the Pacers on Tuesday. Lauri Markkanen led the team with 27 points on 10 of 19 shooting, Brice Sensabaugh added 20 points with five assists off the bench, Ace Bailey scored 19 points while Isaiah Collier tallied 17 points with 22 assists. As a team, the Jazz shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field and 13 of 29 from the 3-point line as they poured in 31 points in the second quarter to overcome an early 10-point deficit, before they caught fire and exploded for 75 points in the second half to escape with the much needed win on the road.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in pretty good form as they’ve won five of their last seven games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after running past the Heat in a 127-115 road win on Tuesday. Jalen Johnson led the team with a triple-double of 29 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists, CJ McCollum added 26 points on 10 of 18 shooting off the bench while Nickeil Alexander-Walker chipped in with 19 points and seven assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 49 percent from the field and 21 of 50 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running on offense and poured in 67 points in the first half and they didn’t take their foot off the gas until their lead swelled to 23 points at one stage.

The Jazz are still missing Kevin Love, Elijah Harkless and Keyonte George, while the Hawks are keeping an eye on Onyeka Okongwu and Kristaps Porzingis who are both listed as questionable for this meeting. The line is certainly hefty for this matchup, but not at all surprising given how much the Jazz have been struggling lately compared to the Hawks who have sprung to life despite all the trade distractions. The Jazz were able to earn a much needed win in their last outing, but I think they go on another losing streak starting in this game with the Hawks taking it by double digits at home.
