The Philadelphia 76ers (20-32) are set to host the Toronto Raptors (16-37) on February 11, 2025, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Both teams are looking to rebound from recent losses and improve their standings in the Eastern Conference.

The 76ers are currently on a three-game losing streak, with their most recent defeat being a 127-135 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Despite a stellar 39-point performance by Tyrese Maxey in that game, the team has struggled defensively, conceding 116 or more points in four of their last five games. Maxey has been a consistent offensive force, scoring 30 or more points in eight of the last nine games.

The Raptors are also facing challenges, currently on a four-game losing streak, including a recent 94-87 loss to the Houston Rockets. In that game, they shot 38.5% from the field and 30% from three-point range. Injury concerns add to their woes, with key players RJ Barrett (21.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game) and Jakob Poeltl (14.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game) listed as questionable due to a concussion and a right hip.

Tyrese Maxey Over 27.5 Points

Tyrese Maxey has been a standout performer for the Philadelphia 76ers during this NBA season. He ranks fourth in the league in scoring, averaging 27.8 points per game. In addition to his scoring, Maxey contributes 6.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of 44.4%. Maxey has delivered several notable performances this season. On January 28, 2025, he scored 43 points, leading the 76ers to a 118-104 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. This game was part of an impressive streak where Maxey scored at least 28 points in 11 consecutive games.

Even with Joel Embid returning to the Sixers lineup on a more consistent basis Tyrese Maxey hasn’t slowed down one bit when it comes to scoring the ball. He’s gotten over this number of 27.5 points in nine of his last ten games.  I don’t see him slowing down by any means especially going against this Toronto Raptors team that isn’t particularly great on the defensive side of the ball.

Immanuel Quickley Over 15.5 Points

Immanuel Quickley has been a significant contributor to the Toronto Raptors during this season when he’s been healthy. As of February 10th, he has only played in 13 games, averaging 14.3 points per game. His shooting efficiency includes a field goal percentage of 40.7%, a three-point percentage of 36.6%, and an impressive free-throw percentage of 90.5%. Additionally, Quickley contributes 6.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game.

Now that Quickley has returned back from injury I expect him to be utilized more in this Raptors offense. He’s coming off a game where he scored 20 points against the Houston Rockets and I see him having another solid night on Tuesday. The Raptors are dealing with injuries to guards RJ Barrett and Gradey Dick. Even if those two play they won’t be 100%, which means Quickley will play enough minutes to be able to go over this number without an issue.

Joel Embid Over 9.5 Rebounds

As of February 10th, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has played in just 16 games during this season, averaging 8.3 rebounds per game. His rebounding performance has been impacted by ongoing issues with his left knee, which he initially injured on January 30, 2024. Despite surgery to repair a torn meniscus, Embiid continues to experience problems, leading to missed games and fluctuating performance.

It looks like Embiid might be on the court more consistently as we’ve seen him play in three of the Sixer’s last four games. In those three games, we saw him get double-digit rebounds in two of them. He’s coming off a game where he secured 12 rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks and he has another favorable matchup going against this Raptors team. The Raptors are giving up 53.4 rebounds per game to opposing teams which is the fifth most in the whole league.  Raptors center Jakob Poeltl might not play in this one and even if he does he won’t be 100%. This is a great spot Embiid to have another nice night on the glass.
