The San Antonio Spurs travel to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been on fire as they’ve won 15 of their last 18 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current 10-game win streak after sneaking past the Raptors in a 110-107 road win last night. Devin Vassell led the team with 21 points on eight of 13 shooting, De’Aaron Fox added 20 points on eight of 15 shooting while Dylan Harper chipped in with 15 points and seven assists off the bench. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and 17 of 39 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the game and fell behind by 15 points in the third quarter, before they flipped the script and dominated the fourth quarter by 32-17 to pull off the impressive comeback win on the road. 

Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview 

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have been ice-cold lately as they’ve lost 23 of their last 28 games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a five-game losing streak after getting beaten by the severely shorthanded Mavericks in a 123-114 loss on Tuesday. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 26 points on nine of 16 shooting, Noah Clowney added 22 points on six of nine shooting while Nic Claxton tallied 16 points with nine assists and three steals. As a team, the Nets shot 51 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line which are decent numbers, but they allowed the Mavericks to get off to a flyer and were always fighting a losing battle after allowing 76 points in the first half. The Nets’ reserves got outscored by the Mavericks’ reserves by 61-39 and Egor Demin had a quiet game of just three points on one of seven shooting.

San Antonio v Brooklyn Free Prediction

The Spurs are still slightly shorthanded with Mason Plumlee still out, while the Nets are coming in with a full squad once again. These teams have already met once this season with the Spurs winning by 118-107 all the way back at the start of the season, but even though a lot has changed since then, I can’t see anything but another comfortable win for the Spurs in this one. The line was always going to be hefty for this matchup, but even the return of Claxton hasn’t been enough to help the ice-cold Nets lately, so I will stick with the Spurs to get another big win and cover here.
