Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview
The Philadelphia 76ers have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after smashing the Mavericks in a 123-108 road win on Thursday. Tyrese Maxey led the team with 34 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists, VJ Edgecombe added 23 points on nine of 14 shooting while Joel Embiid chipped in with 22 points and six assists on nine of 18 shooting. As a team, the 76ers shot 53 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they dominated the second quarter by 41-24 to overcome an early eight-point deficit and take the lead but they didn’t have complete control of the contest until the fourth quarter where they used a decisive 12-4 run to pull away and win comfortably.
New York Knicks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been one of the form teams in the league as they’ve won 11 of their last 15 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after getting thrashed by the Hawks in a 111-99 loss last night. Jalen Brunson led the team with 24 points and five assists, OG Anunoby added 19 points with 10 rebounds while Mikal Bridges chipped in with 18 points and five assists. As a team, the Knicks shot 37 percent from the field and nine of 43 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and scored just 17 points in the second quarter to trail by 13 points going into halftime and things only got worse in the third quarter where the deficit ballooned to 26 points at one stage.
Philadelphia v New York Free Prediction
The 76ers have ruled out Kelly Oubre Jr again, while the Knicks are going to be without Josh Hart, Mitchell Robinson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Landry Shamet. The 76ers have stumbled a bit in their last two games but they are still playing some decent basketball at the moment with Maxey leading the way. The Knicks have been one of the more consistent teams all season and they were on a roll before last night’s poor showing against the Hawks, but they won’t have time to mull over their mistakes with the 76ers rolling into town. These teams last met just a couple weeks ago and it was the 76ers who won by 116-107 and I am expecting a similar result in this one with the 76ers coming out on top against this Knicks team who are going to be missing some key players for this one.
