The Orlando Magic have gone cold lately as they’ve lost six of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a four-game slide after getting trampled by the Cavaliers in 114-98 road defeat on Monday. Paolo Banchero led the team with 37 points, 10 rebounds and four assists on 13 of 21 shooting, Desmond Bane added 19 points while Anthony Black chipped in with 14 points and five assists. As a team, the Magic shot 40 percent from the field and 11 of 39 from the 3-point line as they poured in 32 points in the first quarter to take an early 11-point lead, but that didn’t last long at all as the Magic were always playing from behind after allowing 39 points in the second quarter. Moritz Wagner had a rough game as he scored just five points on two of nine shooting while Jalen Suggs had a night to forget as he shot just two of 13 from the field for his four points.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in pretty good shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after outlasting the Suns in a 111-102 road win on Sunday. Bam Adebayo led the team with 22 points, Jaime Jacquez Jr added 20 points with six assists on eight of 11 shooting off the bench while Norman Powell tallied 16 points with 10 rebounds. As a team, the Heat shot 42 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 32 points in the first quarter to take an early 11-point lead, but this was a close game that could’ve gone either way until the Heat opened the fourth quarter on a pivotal 7-0 run to start to pull away.

The Magic are still missing Franz Wagner, while the Heat have ruled out Tyler Herro with Davion Mitchell, Norman Powell and Kel’el Ware each listed as questionable. The Magic and the Heat are coming into this game with the same amount of losses so we could be in for a close contest in this one. The Magic haven’t been able to get anything going lately as they’ve only won back to back games once since Dec 3, while the Heat are finally starting to build some momentum with a couple nice wins in a row. The Magic have been relatively healthy compared to the Heat, but they’ve gone cold on offense and I think that costs them again as the Heat get the narrow win at home.
