The Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic are set to face off in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 5:30 PM PDT at TD Garden in Boston. The Celtics currently lead the series 3-1, following a 107-98 victory in Game 4.

In Game 4, Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 37 points and 14 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds. Derrick White added 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, and Kristaps Porziņģis scored 19 points in just 22 minutes.  Despite Orlando’s strong defensive efforts, its offensive limitations, particularly in three-point shooting and point guard play, were evident.​

His shooting efficiency included a field goal percentage of 45.2%, a three-point percentage of 34.3%, and a free throw percentage of 85.2%. ​Tatum is coming off two massive games, scoring 36 in game 3 and 37 in game 4. I just don’t see him slowing down in this one; he’s in peak playoff form, and the rest of the Eastern Conference playoff teams should be worried. 

Wendell Carter Over 9.5 Rebounds

Carter is averaging 7.2 rebounds per game, with 2.2 offensive and 5.0 defensive rebounds, while playing 25.9 minutes per game. This rebounding average placed him 29th in the league. In the playoffs, Carter continued to be a key contributor on the boards. In Game 4 of the first-round series against the Boston Celtics, he led the Magic with 11 rebounds. In the game before that, he secured 12 rebounds. Carter should have another double-digit rebounding game with what’s on the line in this one. 

Derrick White Over 4.5 Assists 

Derrick White is averaging 4.8 assists per game, ranking 42nd in the league. White also contributed 16.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 44.2% from the field and 38.4% from three-point range. ​White has recorded 5+ assists in the last 3 games of this series. I expected oddsmakers to adjust his line with his recent success distributing the ball. Let’s exploit this.
