The Miami Heat invade the Capital One Arena to take on the Washington Wizards on Sunday afternoon.

The Miami Heat have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling painfully short to the red-hot Celtics in a 98-96 road loss on Friday. Andrew Wiggins led the team with 26 points on 10 of 16 shooting, Norman Powell added 24 points on nine of 15 shooting while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Heat shot just 42 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrific start and looked to be in full control after dominating the Celtics in the first half to lead by as many as 22 points, but just when it looked like they might escape with a narrow win, the Heat went scoreless in the final 2:38 to allow the Celtics to steal the game at the end. 

Washington Wizards Betting Preview 

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in pretty good form lately as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall, but they are looking to bounce back here after getting routed by the slumping Nets in a 127-113 road defeat last night. Will Riley led the team with 27 points on 10 of 19 shooting, Justin Champagnie added 21 points with nine rebounds and two blocks while Tristan Vukcevic and Sharife Cooper each scored 14 points. As a team, the Wizards shot 47 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line, but they got to such a terrible start that they were already trailing by as many as 34 points in the first half.

The Heat are still missing Tyler Herro and Pelle Larsson with Norman Powell listed as questionable, while the Wizards have ruled out Anthony Davis, D’Angelo Russell, Tre Johnson and Bilal Coulibaly. You couldn’t back either side with any confidence at the moment, but the Wizards are playing this game on zero days’ rest which gives the advantage to the Heat who will be feeling that they should have beaten the Celtics in their last game. The line is hefty for this one, but I think the Heat get a much needed blowout win in this spot.
