The Miami Heat travel to the Xfinity Mobile Arena to battle the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.

The Miami Heat have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last six games overall but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak snapped by the Bucks in a 128-117 road defeat on Tuesday. Norman Powell led the team with 26 points, Bam Adebayo added 18 points with nine rebounds while Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Heat shot 43 percent from the field and 16 of 48 from the 3-point line as they poured in 35 points in the third quarter to overcome a slow start and take the lead, but they went cold when it mattered most and got outscored by 14-1 in the final 3:47 to allow the Bucks off the hook in the end.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers look to have moved on from their ugly four-game slide as they are now aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Pacers in a 135-114 road win on Tuesday. Tyrese Maxey led the team with 32 points, nine rebounds and eight assists on 10 of 22 shooting, Joel Embiid added 27 points with six rebounds and five assists while VJ Edgecombe chipped in with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists on nine of 13 shooting. As a team, the 76ers shot 58 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 45 points in the second quarter to take a 10-point lead into halftime and they kept their foot on the gas until the lead ballooned to 28 points at one stage.

The Heat are still missing Nikola Jovic with Davion Mitchell listed as questionable, while the 76ers are keeping an eye on Joel Embiid who is day to day with right shin soreness. These two squads have already clashed once this season with the Heat winning by 127-117 back on Nov 23. This is a game where you should check the lineups before tipoff, but assuming that the 76ers’ Joel Embiid sits out, I will lean with the Heat who were starting to turn the corner before they got stopped by the Bucks in their last outing. This should be close, but I think the Heat do enough to get the job done on the road.
