The Los Angeles Clippers have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost eight of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after falling just short to the 76ers in a 110-108 road defeat on Monday. James Harden led the team with 28 points, six rebounds and five assists, Kobe Sanders added 17 points while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 14 points and 13 rebounds. As a team, the Clippers shot just 40 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 33 points in the first quarter to jump out to a 13-point lead and they stayed in front until they allowed the 76ers to go on a 19-6 run to steal the lead late in the contest.

Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in great shape as they’ve won four of their last five games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after outlasting the Warriors in a 121-113 home win on Tuesday. Desmond Bane led the team with 23 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals, Anthony Black added 21 points on eight of 13 shooting off the bench while Franz Wagner chipped in with 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Magic shot 51 percent from the field and eight of 32 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running and set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early 15-point lead, but they had to fight off the Warriors all night until they went on a 14-4 run in the fourth quarter to pull away at home.

The Clippers are still missing Bradley Beal, Kawhi Leonard and Derrick Jones Jr, while the Magic have ruled out Moritz Wagner and Paolo Banchero once again. The Clippers currently hold a four-game win streak over the Magic, but I really don’t see that streak continuing here given how banged up the Clippers are at the moment. The Magic come into this meeting as the team in better form, they just took down the Warriors and they should be able to contain this depleted Clippers team as long as they keep a lid on James Harden. The line is short enough, so I am sticking with the more consistent Magic to take care of business at home.
