The Indiana Pacers won 47 games last season that ended in the eastern conference finals, and they enter year four under coach Rick Carlisle. The Pacers are pretty much the same team they were a year ago, with Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner leading the way. Pascal Siakam will have a full season with the Pacers, while Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith gained valuable playoff minutes and experience. T.J. McConnell remains one of the more underrated bench players in the NBA. If you liked the Pacers last season, you should probably like them even more after showing what they’re capable of, especially on the offensive side.

However, that move felt like the Hawks were heading toward a rebuild, so the roster is a bit confusing. Bogdan Bogdanovic is still a respectable shooter, and Clint Capela does his job in the paint. A full season of De’Andre Hunter would be nice, and there’s potential in the youth of Zaccharie Risacher and Jalen Johnson. It’s not completely terrible for the Hawks, but this roster isn’t enough to make noise in the East. If a slow start takes place, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Hawks head into a youth movement and start moving guys.

Don’t expect the Pacers to play their key guys much, if at all. The Atlanta Hawks are still trying to figure things out, and they have a lot of youth that should be excited to prove themselves.
